A group of 17 players, accompanied by Leader of Delegation Dr. Apollo Ahimbisibwe, head coach Paul Joseph Put, assistant Fred Muhumuza and a full technical team, boarded a Qatar Airways flight as the first batch to link up for the training camp.
The Cranes will undergo an 11-day intensive camp, which includes two international build-up matches, designed to fine-tune the squad before the continental showpiece kicks off.
The remaining 13 players are expected to join the camp directly from their respective clubs abroad.
