Zimbabwe star Tawanda Maswanhise can’t stop scoring

Zimbabwean striker Tawanda Maswanhise has now scored in three consecutive matches for Motherwell FC since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

The youthful forward, who was the Warriors’ late revelation at the tournament in Morocco, was on target for Jens Askou’s side as it edged Ross Country FC 1-0 on Saturday.

Maswanhise’s second-half goal from a shot he deflected into the net, sent Motherwell FC into the Scottish Cup’s fifth-round.

How many goals has Maswanishe scored after AFCON?

Soon after returning from the AFCON finals, Maswanishe scored in the 2-0 victory over St Mirren on January 3 then in the one-all draw with Hibernian FC on January 10. This was followed by Saturday’s exploits.

Both previous games were for the Scottish William Hill Premiership.

Before returning to Scottland, Maswanishe scoree for Zimbabwe as they lost 2-3 to South Africa in a group-stage match at AFCON.

Maswanhise has now made it 16 goals across all competitions for Motherwell FC this season.

The Warriors star has scored in all competitions he has featured in this season namely the Premier Sports Cup, William Hill Premiership, Scottish Cup and AFCON.
