Africans abroad: Ghana forward Ezekiel Alladoh strikes fifth goal of the season

Former Ghana Premier League kingpin, Ezekiel Alladoh produced an impressive outing, registering a goal in Brommapojkarna’s 4-2 home loss to IK Sirius on Sunday in the Swedish Allsvenskan league.

The 19-year-old former Accra Lions striker scored his fifth league goal of the season but that was not enough to rescue his club from suffering the loss in the week 20 fixture.

IK Sirius fired themselves ahead with 50 minutes played at the Grimsta IP Stadium through the effort of Danish defender Tobias Anker, who converted a set-piece opportunity. Brommapojkarna, however, responded swiftly as Alladoh restored parity five minutes later.

The visitors immediately reclaimed their lead through Leo Walta, who struck less than a minute after the equaliser. Brommapojkarna again leveled the score with Adam Jakobsen who converted from the penalty spot in the 65th minute.

However, Sirius proved too strong in the closing stages. Goals from Scottish striker Robbie Ure in the 71st minute and Oscar Krusnell in the 83rd sealed a comfortable victory for the visitors.

Since moving to Sweden from the Ghana Premier League earlier this year, he has established himself as a key player for Brommapojkarna, registering six goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.

Elsewhere in Europe, former Ghana striker Benjamin Tetteh scored twice as NK Maribor were held to a 3-3 draw by NK Bravo in the Slovenian Prva Liga over the weekend.
