Renowned agent Mike Makaab has addressed the reports linking Sipho Mbule with a potential move to Kaizer Chiefs for the 2025/26 PSL season.
Mbule, a highly-rated midfielder, recently became a free agent after his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns expired on June 30, 2025.
The South African champions opted against exercising the two-year extension option on his deal, a decision reportedly influenced by isuues over Mbule's off-field conduct.
'MasterChef', as he is known, initially joined the Tshwane giants in 2022 from SuperSport United, spending two seasons with the Brazilians. In the just-ended campaign, he was on a season-long loan at Sekhukhune United in a bid to secure regular playing time.
Mbule enjoyed a promising start to his loan spell at Sekhukhune, making 17 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and three assists. However, his tenure at Babina Noko was cut short amidst disciplinary concerns, which allegedly included instances of coming to training under the influence of alcohol.
During his overall time at Sundowns, Mbule played 51 matches, registering three goals and one assist.
Following his departure from Masandawana, rumours quickly began circulating about the 27-year-old's potential switch to Amakhosi. However, Mbule's agent, Mike Makaab, has since clarified that there have been no discussions with Kaizer Chiefs regarding the former SuperSport star.
"I don’t know where the talks that Sipho Mbule is going to Kaizer Chiefs are coming from. All I can tell you is that the rumours are not true," Makaab informed FARPost. "As I said, there hasn’t been any formal approach from any team about the services of Mbule. So we’ll look at all the best possible options to get him a club."
