Ghana international Lawrence Agyekum is delighted to commit his future to Belgium club, Cercle Brugge.
Manager, Nicky Hayen decided to keep Agyekum at the Jan Breydel Stadium until 2029 following a successful loan spell from Austria giants, Red Bull Salzburg.
Speaking to the media team of the club, Agyekum said he is happy to stay and looks forward to what the future holds for him at the club.
"It’s been a busy season already, but I’m grateful to God for where I am today. I’m happy to stay at Cercle and looking forward to what’s next,” Agyekum said.
Cercle Brugge announced on Thursday, May 15, that the club has exercised the purchase option in the loan deal of Agyekum. The purchase option is reported to be €800,000.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian, who is currently on loan from RB Salzburg, will now make a permanent move to the Jupiler Pro League side for the next four seasons according to an official statement on the club’s official social media.
The Black Stars midfielder has scored two goals and provided two assists in 44 appearances for Cercle Brugge this season.
