Adams wasted no time asserting his presence, breaking the deadlock in the 4th minute with a well-taken goal. He capitalized on the early opportunity to net his first league goal in over a month, thus ending a seven-game scoring drought.

Sevilla extended their lead in the first half through Djibril Sow, and in the second half, Adams set up Batista Mendy for the third goal.

However, it was the late strike from substitute Ejuke that sealed the dominant performance. The winger showcased his flair and skill, capping off a comfortable afternoon for Sevilla by scoring the fourth goal in the 89th minute, putting the icing on the cake just before stoppage time.

The impressive 4-0 scoreline was a much-needed result for the Andalusian side, ending a run of three successive LaLiga defeats and propelling them back toward European contention spots.

For both Adams and Ejuke, the performance was a statement of intent. Adams’ return to goalscoring form and Ejuke’s late effort highlight their readiness to contribute to the Super Eagles’ campaign in the upcoming AFCON tournament.

The Nigerian duo are now set to travel to join the Super Eagles camp. They will link up with their teammates as they intensify preparations for the 2025 AFCON.
