Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli have reportedly completed a big-money transfer for the services of Togo national team forward Yaw Annor. As first reported by Pan-Africa Football’s Ablam Gnamesso, Annor is set to join the Libyan Premier League champions from Egyptian top flight club National Bank.
The 27-year-old will join Al Ahli for a transfer fee reported to be around $2 million in a blockbuster move for the club, popularly known in Libya as “The People’s Club”.
The Ghanaian-born forward, a former Golden Boot winner with Ashanti Gold at the conclusion of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season where he scored 22 goals in 30 matches, has taken his career to the next level in Egypt. His excellent final season with Ashanti Gold led to a transfer to Ismaily in July 2022.

Annor produced 29 goals and 16 assists in 93 appearances during his time in Egypt. He transferred to National Bank midway through the 2023-24 season and further established himself not only as an excellent goal scorer, but also as a versatile player who can line up on either wing and create opportunities for his teammates as well.
The native of Ho in Ghana’s eastern Volta Region also boosted his national team career during his time in Egypt by deciding to represent Togo, where he has familial connections to the country on the eastern border of Ghana.
A former Ghana under-17 national team player, Annor has 12 appearances and 2 goals for Les Éperviers, both goals coming in a 3-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea to conclude 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. He has featured regularly during Togo’s unsuccessful 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign as well and has been called up for the nation’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers this week.
Annor joins an Al Ahli Tripoli side with big ambitions and deep pockets. The club are currently participating in the CAF Champions League and have a massive test in the final round of qualifying after the October international window. Ahli will face reigning CAF Confederation Cup champions RS Berkane of Morocco in what is anticipated to be one of the most fiercely contested second round clashes for a place in the group stage.
