Libyan League: Al Ahli Tripoli coach achieves historic unbeaten record

Egyptian coach Hossam El Badry has guided Al Ahli Tripoli to a historic milestone following their 3-0 victory over Al Malaab in the Libyan League.

The win ensured that Al Ahli Tripoli extended their lead at the top of the table while also setting a new league record — going 42 consecutive matches without defeat.

Speaking via the club’s official page, El Badry said: “I congratulate the players on achieving a historic record for the first time in the Libyan league, as we have now gone 42 matches unbeaten.”

He added: “We managed to break the previous record held by Al Wahda, who achieved 41 consecutive matches without defeat back in 1992.”

El Badry concluded by emphasizing that the achievement belongs to the entire club structure: “What has been accomplished is a success for the whole Al Ahli Tripoli system — players, technical staff, and management.”

The Egyptian tactician had already led Al Ahli Tripoli to a remarkable domestic treble last season, winning the Libyan League, the Libyan Cup, and the Super Cup, building a historic his legacy at the club.
