The excitement continued in the Nile Egyptian League’s title phase as two key fixtures unfolded, with Al Ahly and Pyramids claiming important victories.

Al Ahly 2-1 National Bank

League leaders Al Ahly extended their winning streak to five consecutive matches with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over National Bank.

Star midfielder Emam Ashour, the league’s top scorer, opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the penalty area. This goal is Ashour's 12th strike this season in the league, making him the joint top scorer besides National bank's forward Osama Faisal.

However, before the halftime whistle, Yaw Annor equalized for the visitors in stoppage time (45+1). The Togolese-Ghanaian forward controlled the ball inside the box, turned and fired past the goalkeeper.

The match remained level until the dying moments, when substitute striker Wessam Abou Ali became the hero for Al Ahly. In the 96th minute, he latched onto a header from his teammate Yasser Ibrahim inside the box and slotted it home to secure the win.

With this result, Al Ahly maintain their lead at the top of the title-deciding group with 55 points, two ahead of Pyramids FC, with just one round remaining.

National Bank stay in fourth place with 37 points.

Petrojet 0-2 Pyramids FC

Pyramids FC continued to push Al Ahly in the title race with a 2-0 away win against struggling Petrojet, thanks to a brace from striker Marwan Hamdy.

Hamdy opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a header. Just seven minutes later, he struck again—this time with a left-footed shot from outside the area to double the lead.

Petrojet remain winless in their last six matches across all competitions and have now failed to win any of their last four league games.

With this victory, Pyramids climb to 53 points, two behind Al Ahly, keeping their title hopes alive going into the final matchday. Meanwhile, Petrojet remain eighth with 26 points.

In the other match played on Saturday, Ceramica Cleopatra thrashed Al Masry 4-0 in a match that ended ten v ten.
