Emad El-Nahhas, the interim head coach of Al Ahly, expressed his delight with the team's victory over Ceramica Cleopatra in the Nile Egyptian League on Tuesday.
Al Ahly defeated Ceramica Cleopatra 1-0 in the sixth round of the title phase of the Nile Egyptian League.
El-Nahhas congratulated the players and technical staff in his post-match press conference, as quoted by Al Ahly’s official website:
“We faced a strong team that includes a distinguished group of players. We succeeded in taking advantage of the opportunity and scored the winning goal. We focused heavily on the defensive aspects, and our goal was to win and maintain the team’s chances in the title race.”
“The most important thing was to defend in an organized manner in the final third of the pitch, and we succeeded with the playing style we used in the match.”
El-Nahhas confirmed that every player implemented the technical staff’s instructions, emphasized before the match, pointing out that the staff work on correcting each negative aspect of their performance after each game.
He concluded his remarks by confirming that the team has closed the chapter on the Ceramica Cleopatra match and is now focused on the upcoming match against National Bank.
