Al Ahly striker: “We learned from our mistakes and were determined to get the victory”

Al Ahly striker Mohamed Sherif spoke after his team’s 4-1 victory over Pharco at Cairo International Stadium.

Sherif opened the scoring with his first official goal since returning to the club at the start of the season.

“We achieved an important win over Pharco after the draw in the first round against Modern Sport,” Sherif said according to Al Ahly’s official website.

He added:

“We learned from our mistakes in the opening match and we were determined to get the victory against Pharco.”

The forward emphasized the value of scoring early in matches:

“Scoring an early goal helps the team achieve its target by creating spaces. Any goal we score is always the result of collective work.”

Sherif concluded by talking about the Al Ahly supporters:

“The fans always support the team and every player. I will give my maximum effort to make them happy.”

The goal was Sherif’s 60th for Al Ahly in all competitions, coming in his 153rd appearance for the club. Al Ahly striker has also reached 60 career goals in the Egyptian Premier League, scored across spells with Al Ahly, ENPPI, and Wadi Degla.
