Kodjo Laba and Rahimi score as Al Ain reclaim UAE Pro League top spot

Al Ain secured a solid 2-0 victory over Ajman on Sunday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, in Round 21 of the UAE Pro League (ADNOC Pro League), to reclaim the top spot in the standings.

The hosts made an early impact, opening the scoring in the 6th minute through Moroccan forward Soufiane Rahimi, who finished easily from close range following a low cross into the box.

Al Ain continued to control the game and doubled their lead in the 58th minute, as Togolese striker Laba produced a composed finish after another low cross.

With this goal, Kodjo strengthened his position at the top of the league’s scoring charts, reaching 18 goals this season.

The victory sees Al Ain move up to 53 points at the top of the ADNOC Pro League table, while Ajman remain in seventh place with 24 points.
