Report: Al Ittihad plan to offload Houssem Aouar amid summer rebuild

Al Ittihad have begun steps to part ways with Algerian midfielder Houssem Aouar and Brazilian star Fabinho, according to Saudi outlet AlYaum.

The Jeddah giants are looking to refresh their foreign roster in the ongoing transfer window, with plans to bring in new international signings to strengthen the squad.

Reports indicate that the decision comes after a noticeable dip in form from both players. As a result, the club should be actively exploring options to move them on this summer.

Al Ittihad remain determined to secure high-profile foreign additions as they aim to reinforce the squad and compete strongly in the upcoming season if they manage to sell Houssem Aouar and Fabinho.

Houssem Aouar only joined Al Ittihad in the summer of 2024, making 35 appearances across all competitions in his debut season. The 26-year-old contributed 13 goals and 4 assists, and also played a role in helping the club win both the Saudi Pro League and the King’s Cup.
