Libyan club Al Ittihad SC has decided to secure the permanent signing of Egyptian forward Mahmoud Kahraba from Al Ahly.
The 29-year-old initially joined Al Ittihad SC on loan during the January transfer window with an option for a permanent move. Since his arrival, Kahraba has made two appearances for the club, scoring a goal on his debut. In his second match, he was forced off due to injury at halftime.
Despite Kahraba’s little game time with Al Ittihad SC, the Libyan club has decided to finalize the transfer in less than a month.
Career at Al Ahly
Kahraba joined Al Ahly in January 2020 from Portuguese club Desportivo Aves.
Since then, he has featured in 144 matches, scoring 48 goals and providing 22 assists.
His time at Al Ahly included a brief six-month loan spell at Turkish side Hatayspor from January to June 2022.
