The United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira has agreed a fee for DR Congo striker Simon Banza. The Abu Dhabi-based outfit will pay €10 million to Portuguese club Braga for the transfer of Banza.
Following a memorable season in the Turkish Süper Lig with Trabzonspor, Banza could be on the move again.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al Jazira have met Braga’s asking price for the transfer to go through. Banza has yet to give his approval to the move, but all details between the two clubs have been finalised.
Banza, 28, scored 19 league goals for Trabzonspor while on loan and has attracted interest from several other clubs. Al Jazira, coached by Moroccan Hussein Ammouta, are looking to make the former RC Lens striker a replacement for fellow DR Congo forward Neeskens Kebano.
The three-time UAE Pro League champions are aiming to strengthen their attacking line after finishing seventh last season.
