Al Masry SC announced on Tuesday that the club’s board has accepted the resignation of Tunisian head coach Nabil Kouki and his technical staff, bringing an end to his tenure with the team.
In an official statement, the club confirmed: “Al Masry Club’s Board of Directors, headed by Mr. Kamel Abu Ali, approved the resignation submitted by Tunisian Nabil El Kouki, the coach of the club’s first football team, and his assistant staff, for not continuing his position as the team’s head coach.”
Kouki had taken charge of The Port Said Eagles in June last year, but his departure comes after the team’s heavy 4-1 defeat against Zamalek in the opening round of the Nile Egyptian League title-deciding phase.
Al Masry currently sit fifth among the seven teams competing in the title-deciding group, with 32 points, as they continue their battle for qualification to next season’s African competitions.
