Al Masry will face Nigerian giants Enyimba in their opening Group D match of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 PM Cairo time at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, head coach Ali Maher said:
"We’ve closed the league chapter after the Zamalek match and have now started preparing for the Enyimba game. The players are ready for tomorrow’s match despite the limited time following the Zamalek match."
Maher praised the strength of the Nigerian team, saying:
"Enyimba is a strong team with a rich history in African competitions, and we are fully prepared to face them. We are working to prepare all the players for the challenges of both the league and this tough African competition."
The head coach added:
"We treat each match individually and aim to go as far as possible in the Confederation Cup. The unwavering support from Al Masry fans gives us a huge motivation to achieve victory in this important encounter." He also highlighted the tremendous backing from club president Kamel Abou Ali, "Mr. Kamel Abou Ali provides immense support to the team."
Al Masry forward Fakhreddine Ben Youssef expressed the team's high ambitions ahead of their opening match against Enyimba in the CAF Confederation Cup.

"We have big ambitions, and the coaching staff is putting in a great effort with the players," said Ben Youssef during his comments.
"The players are fully prepared for the tough match against Enyimba. It will be a difficult game as the opponent has a lot of experience."
He also highlighted the importance of fan support saying, "The support of our loyal fans gives us great motivation and energy to perform well."
Al Masry is placed in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage alongside Enyimba, Egyptian side and defending champions Zamalek and Black Bulls from Mozambique.
