Alade Solomon secures move to Egyptian Premier League side Ghazl El Mahalla SC

After an impressive debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with Ikorodu City, Nigerian forward Alade Solomon has completed his move to Egyptian Premier League club, Ghazl El Mahalla SC.

Solomon, a promising striker, quickly became a focal point for Ikorodu City in the recently concluded NPFL campaign. He featured in 18 matches, and contributed two goals.

The striker becomes the latest Ikorodu City player to secure a move abroad after Waliu Ojetoye, who joined Israeli club, Hapoel Jerusalem. Ikorodu City are expected to find a replacement for the duo ahead of the 2025-26 NPFL season.

The new campaign is set to kick off on Friday, August 22, 2025, with Ikorodu City facing a tough opening fixture against Kwara United. The ‘Oga Boys’ will travel to Ilorin for what promises to be an intriguing start to their league season.
