Al Ahli secured the 2024–2025 Libyan Premier League title with a decisive 2–0 victory over Al Hilal in the championship-deciding match held at the Città di Meda Stadium in Italy. The triumph capped a long campaign in which the team finished five points clear of Al Hilal during the championship phase.
The momentum has continued for Al Ahli Tripoli, who booked their place in the Libyan Cup final after a dramatic 3–2 penalty shootout win over Al Ittihad in the semifinals on Monday.
