Alex Iwobi sets sights on European football with Fulham

Nigerian winger of Fulham FC, Alex Iwobi says it will be great if his English Premier League side, secures a spot in European competition by the end of the 2025-26 season.

The Whites came close to a European slot last season, after achieving their highest-ever points total in the Premier League.

Iwobi expressed to Standard Sport his desire to have a taste of European football once again.

The Nigeria international underscored his personal motivation to help the club achieve this significant milestone.

“Everyone wants to play in Europe. I have played in Europe before – I want a taste of it again,” he said.

Fulham has been building a competitive squad under manager Marco Silva.

Marco Silva’s side also lost to eventual FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the quarter final.

Iwobi played in the UEFA Champions League, and Europa League during his time with Arsenal.
