Alex Iwobi reveals Fulham target this season

Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi has confirmed Fulham are going to do everything to qualify for European football next season.

The Premier League outfit boosted their chances to qualify following a 2-1 Premier League victory against Tottenham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Iwobi was among the goals, scoring the second. The former Arsenal star side footed home from the edge of the box with a powerful placed finish.

In the previous 3-1win against Sunderland, the Super Eagle had set up the opening goal from Raúl Jiménez early in the second half before finishing off the victory late on with an 85th minute finish. The assist marked Iwobi’s first goal contributions of 2026 with the Cottagers.

‘Everyone is fighting for each other’

“I think just to be mentally strong and stick together, like we have been,” Iwobi told Fulham website after the Spurs game.

“Everyone is fighting for each other, even the ones that came into the squad, like Issa for example – Joa was ill and Issa was able to step into that role, so it’s a good and competitive spirit that we have in the team.

“As long as we keep that, I’m sure that we can finish high in the table.”

Tottenham win to boost Fulham

Iwobi added: “We were ambitious from the start of the season, but the main thing for us is to remain consistent. We see the quality in training every day, it’s just bringing it into matches.

“The results [against Sunderland & Spurs] speak for themselves, not just the performances but to get the results as well, so as long as we keep doing that.

“Of course, we had a difficult run, losing three out of four or something like that, so getting back-to-back wins gives us a boost and the confidence to keep going for the rest of the season.”

So far this season, Iwobi has managed four goals, and three assists for Fulham.
