21-year-old goal scoring sensation Adil Boulbina continues to light up Algeria's Ligue 1 Professionnelle and it is only a matter of time before Boulbina becomes the latest Paradou AC player to move to Europe.
Boulbina has yet to make his debut with the Algeria senior national team but is very much on the radar of Algeria coach Vladimir Petković. After Boulbina previously featured with the Algeria under-20 national team and participated at the 2022 edition of the Toulon Tournament, the Serbian tactician revealed more about his plans for incorporating Boulbina with Les Verts through a gradual process.
Petković has no plans to rush Boulbina into the setup. As revealed by Algerian outlet La Gazette du Fennec, Petković wants to feature the young hitman as the star of the Algeria 'A' national team selection before his anticipated transfer to Europe at the end of the current campaign.
With a 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying playoff upcoming against The Gambia in early May, Boulbina will be a key player for domestic-based national team coach Madjid Bougherra as Algeria looks to qualify for the finals of the competition in August.
Even if it is highly unlikely that a transfer abroad will make Boublina ineligible to take part at the CHAN finals in East Africa, the occasion serves as a pressure situation for him to impress Petković who continues to watch him closely.
With 15 goals and 5 assists in Algeria's Ligue 1 this season, Boulbina is the top scorer by six goals and will soon be able to test himself in the rigors of European club football. Until then, the idea is to trust the process to avoid putting too much pressure on Boulbina as he continues to progress towards being trusted with the responsibility of representing Algeria at the highest level.
