The Algeria national team is off to a winning start in the June FIFA window. Les Verts defeated Rwanda 2-0 at home in Constantine courtesy of goals from Youssef Belaïli and Jaouen Hadjam.
Hicham Bouadoui, a player who continues to draw attention from top European clubs for his performances with Algeria and OGC Nice, created the first goal with excellent work on the right flank in the 28th minute. The dynamic midfielder's cross found Belaïli for a bouncing header past Amavubi goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari.
The hosts continued to control the match as expected and found their second goal before the hour mark. Hadjam received the ball on the left wing and played a slick combination with Belaïli whose excellent pass sent Hadjam in 1vs1 with Ntwari before finishing inside the near post.
Algeria will now travel to Europe where they will be the guests against Sweden in their second friendly of the international window on Tuesday. This is the only match for Rwanda during the June window.
