The Algeria national football team were held to a 0-0 draw against Uruguay national football team in an international friendly that held at Allianz Stadium in the Italian city of Turin.

Head coach Vladimir Petković attempted to inject energy into the team during the second half by making several changes. Riyad Mahrez and Mohamed Amoura were introduced in the 64th minute, replacing Houssem Aouar and Ramiz Zerrouki. Additionally, Benbouali came on in place of Amine Gouiri.

Despite these adjustments, Algeria struggled to break down Uruguay’s defense and reach the back of the net, with the match ending in a goalless stalemate.

This result comes after Algeria’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Guatemala national football team in their previous friendly.

Looking ahead, Algeria are set to compete in Group J at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they face challenges against Argentina national football team, Jordan national football team, and Austria national football team.
