The Algeria national team has confirmed that Ramy Bensebaini will miss the team’s upcoming friendly matches in November due to lower back pain.
Head coach Vladimir Petković and his staff decided to exempt the Borussia Dortmund defender from traveling with the squad to Saudi Arabia in order to avoid any risk of aggravating the injury.
Algeria is scheduled to face Zimbabwe on November 13, before meeting Saudi Arabia on November 18, as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) also announced that Farès Chaïbi, midfielder of Eintracht Frankfurt, will miss both games through injury. Chaïbi sustained a thigh injury while playing for his German club in the Bundesliga.
The 22-year-old made 15 appearances across all competitions. He has contributed one goal against Werder Bremen and six assists.
