The Algerian Football Federation has received an official invitation from FIFA to participate in the 2025 Arab Cup.
The tournament will feature national teams from across the Arab world and will be held in Qatar from December 1 to 18, 2025. This will be the second edition of the Arab Cup under FIFA’s supervision. The first FIFA-organized edition took place in 2021 with Algeria winning the title.
The 2025 tournament is expected to include some of the African Arab national teams, such as Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether teams will participate with their senior squads or reserve sides.
So far, Tunisia has officially announced it will compete with its first team. Notably, this tournament will end only 3 days before the opening game of the 2025 AFCON which will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
The number of teams participating in the tournament has not been officially announced. In 2021, the Arab Cup featured sixteen teams divided into four groups during the group stage.
Further details about the competition will be revealed in the coming months.
