Algeria squad update: Anis Hadj Moussa ruled out, Boudaoui given rest

The Algeria national football team has confirmed the withdrawal of winger Anis Hadj Moussa from the current training camp in Italy due to injury.

According to an official statement from the Algerian Football Federation, the Feyenoord player arrived at the camp already carrying an injury. Medical examinations later confirmed that he is not fit to participate in the upcoming international friendlies against Guatemala national football team and Uruguay national football team.

Based on this diagnosis, head coach Vladimir Petković granted the player permission to leave the camp on Tuesday morning, allowing him to return to his club to continue treatment and recovery.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Hicham Boudaoui has been excused from training sessions by the technical staff after suffering from a cold.

Hadj Moussa’s injury dates back to Sunday, when he sustained a thigh problem during Feyenoord’s clash with Ajax in the 28th round of the Eredivisie.

Algeria is set to face Guatemala on Friday in the Italian city of Genoa, before traveling to Turin to take on Uruguay next Tuesday at the Allianz Stadium.
