Tunisian club CS Sfaxien have officially announced that their experienced captain, Ali Maaloul, has sustained a minor injury.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the club confirmed:
“Our team captain Ali Maaloul has suffered a minor injury to his left ankle.”
Medical examinations revealed that the injury will require approximately two weeks of rest before the player can return to match action.
As a result, Maaloul is set to miss the upcoming Tunisian league fixture against AS Gabès.
Maaloul rejoined CS Sfaxien last summer after concluding his successful spell with Al Ahly SC. Since his return, the veteran left-back has featured in 16 matches across all competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
