Amaju Pinnick named Special Advisor to CAF President

Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Melvin Pinnick has returned to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a Special Advisor to CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

This appointment was announced on Saturday during the CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Rabat, Morocco, and was immediately ratified.

The former NNF president had been out of CAF following his defeat in the last Executive Committee election. The new role comes with the privilege to attend all CAF Executive Committee meetings.

Pinnick was previously NFF president from 2014 to 2022. Before, he was the chair of the Delta State Football Association from 2010 to 2014.
