After inconsistent playing time at Olympique Marseille due to injuries and plenty of depth at the Ligue 1 club, Morocco international playmaker Harit is off to İstanbul Başakşehir.
The club from the Turkish capital finished fifth place last season and have brought in the 28-year-old to add a spark to the attack after a poor start to the 2025-26 season. Two draws against inferior opposition to begin the Super Lig season along with a failure to advance through the qualification stages for the UEFA Conference League prompted the acquisition of Harit who has the potential to be a star player in the Super Lig.
Harit arrives with his new club having an option to activate a purchase option. He will also have an opportunity to impress Morocco national team coach Walid Regragui before the North African nation hosts the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Harit was set to play a role for Morocco’s famous squad that finished fourth place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup but a heartbreaking long-term injury came only months before the tournament.
Meanwhile, over in another are of Istanbul, newly promoted top flight side Fatih Karagümrük have brought in Ivorian striker David Datro Fofana on loan from Chelsea FC.

Just announced in the last couple of hours as a deadline move, Fofana returns on loan to the Super Lig after spending last season with Göztepe. It will be the 22-year-old forward’s fourth spell on loan away from Chelsea since joining the London giants from Norwegian club Molde in 2022.
It has been a struggle for the promising striker to find his way after being assigned to Chelsea’s “loan army”. During his time on loan at Germany’s Union Berlin, Burnley FC and Göztepe, Fofana has amassed 8 goals in 41 appearances. His latest move presents another opportunity for him to be a key player for a club that will likely be fighting for survival after earning promotion.
