Mohamed Amoura opened the scoring for visitors Wolfsburg on Sunday in the Bundesliga, setting off a back-and-forth second half that ended with a 2-2 draw against hosts RB Leipzig.

Leipzig dominated the first half, which ended scoreless only because of an outstanding performance by Wolfsburg goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. The Polish netminder came up with several stellar reaction saves to keep his team in the match.
And the lack of efficient finishing came back to haunt the hosts. In the 52nd minute, excellent work on the right wing from Adam Daghim set up Amoura for a brilliant curled finish to give the visitors a shock lead. It was the Algerian’s 8th goal in 19 league matches.
But the favorites bounced back and it was the in-form Ivorian who gave his teammates a lift. Grabara went from hero to villain when he needlessly conceded possession deep in his own half and Brajan Gruda set up the forward to level the match in the 70th minute. Diomande was named Man of the Match after the full time whistle after scoring his 8th league goal this season.

The two teams went on to exchange goals again over the final fifteen minutes with Gruda’s 89th equalizer resulting in a sharing of the points. Wolfsburg will remain winless in their last five matches and are only a point out of the relegation zone.
Next up for Red Bull, 5th on the league table, is an important home clash against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday.
