Algerian forward Mohamed Amine Amoura continued his bright start to the 2025-2026 Bundesliga season, finding the net once more for Wolfsburg before being forced off with an injury in his side’s 3-3 draw against Köln.

After opening his account on August 23 in the league opener against Heidenheim, Amoura went scoreless in the second round against Mainz but returned to the scoresheet in Matchday 3. With Wolfsburg trailing to an early fifth-minute goal, the 25-year-old restored parity in the 42nd minute, heading home from a corner. His strike ensured the visitors went into halftime level.

Amoura, who was strongly linked with a move to Portuguese giants Benfica during the summer transfer window, now has two goals from his first three Bundesliga matches this campaign.

However, his evening ended prematurely when he was forced off in the 70th minute due to injury, replaced by Dzenan Pejcinovic. At that stage Wolfsburg were leading 2-1, but the match ultimately finished in a 3-3 stalemate.
