Angola national team midfielders Show and Maestro complete moves to Turkish top flight

Two Angola national team midfielders have joined the large continent of African players in the Turkish Süper Lig after transfers were confirmed this week for Manuel Luís da Silva Cafumana (Show) and António Simão Muanza (Maestro).

Maestro, a 21-year-old central midfielder who previously spent time in Portugal with Estrela Amadora and Benfica B, was a regular contributor at previous club Adana Demirspor who finished last in the 2024-25 Süper Lig due to financial issues and a transfer ban.

A creative deep lying player whose role continues to increase with the Angola senior national team, Maestro will continue to compete at a high level in his club career following the move. Alanyaspor finished midtable in 12th position this past season.

As for Show, the central midfielder arrives at Kocaelispor after the club won the Turkish second tier 1. Lig this past season. The 26-year-old joins on loan from Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa, his second loan from the club since joining from Bulgaria’s Ludogorets Razgrad.

Show spent the previous year on loan in the United States with Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas. He failed to make much of an impression, featuring in a limited role with thirteen appearances.

In an attempt to boost his prospects of finding a new club after falling out of the reckoning at FC Dallas, Show was allowed to compete with Angola at the 2025 COSAFA Cup and was an important part of the Palancas Negras squad that successfully defended their title.
