Potential Dark Horse? Angola announce 28-man squad for AFCON 2025
The Angolan Football Federation has revealed the 28-man squad selected by French coach Patrice Beaumelle for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The squad features notable inclusions such as Clinton Mata (Lyon), Zito Luvumbo (Cagliari), David Carmo (Real Oviedo), Chico Banza (Zamalek), Mabululu (Al Ahli Tripoli), and Gelson Dala (Al-Wakrah).

Angola is drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
The Angolan national team will begin preparations in Portugal from December 8 to December 18 ahead of the tournament, including two friendly matches against DR Congo and Mozambique.
Angola will open their AFCON campaign against South Africa, followed by matches against Zimbabwe, and will conclude the group stage with a clash against Egypt.
