Kaizer Chiefs’ Angolan opponents in the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup are talking tough ahead of next month’s preliminary round matches.
Kabuscorp Sport Clube do Palanca’s coach has commented on the forthcoming showdown with AmaKhosi. His comments follow the Confederation Cup draw held last Saturday in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
Ango Sporto Online 24h of Angola quoted Bento Bianchi as having told Angola’s Radio Cinco that he knows Chiefs’ big profile in the Betway Premiership and Africa. He added that his team is not shaken.
The Spanish-Brazilian technician warned that Kabuscorp are prepared to fight at home and away and sail past the preliminary round.
“Kaizer Chiefs is a traditional club in African competitions, but we have our arguments. Nowadays soccer is pretty much equal. It will be tough for both teams,” he is quoted as saying.
Bianchi claimed that he knows well South African football well and would plan accordingly for Chiefs.
“We have enough time to prepare well for this game and we will stay tuned to their performance in Africa. I think before the game, they will have five official games,” the coach added.
Chiefs will start their campaign with a trip to Luanda to face Kabuscorp, the 2024/25 Angolan Cup winners.
The first round of the qualifying round will be played in Angolan capital Luanda at the Stadium 11 November between September 19 and 21. The second legs are scheduled for 26–28 September.
