Anukani demands KCCA FC to clear remaining contract before exit

Attacking midfielder Bright Anukani has made it clear he will not leave KCCA FC without being paid the balance of his contract.

Anukani rejoined the Kasasiro Boys at the start of last season after parting ways with Vipers SC, signing a three-year deal at Lugogo. With two years still left on his contract, KCCA FC has reportedly decided to part ways with him.

However, the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions are said to be reluctant to pay off the remaining years, while Anukani insists he is not ready to walk away empty-handed. Unless both parties agree on a severance package, the midfielder is determined to stay put.

KCCA’s stance of wanting him out and Anukani’s refusal to leave without compensation highlights a standoff that could drag on if no compromise is reached.

The intelligenct playmaker previously turned out for Proline FC and Vipers SC before returning to Lugogo.

Meanwhile, in this transfer window, KCCA FC has already reinforced their squad with the signings of Enock Walusimbi, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Charles Lukwago, Lazaro Bwambale, Alpha Thierry Ssali, and Rogers Mugisha.
