South Africa’s AmaZulu FC coach Arthur Zwane has explained why they are turning their Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban into a no-go zone for visiting teams.
Usuthu have, after a slow start to the Betway Premiership, clicked into gear, looking impressive especially when playing at their backyard which was the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue.
Home support for the fans in Durban seems to help improve the performance of Zwane’s men in the elite league for South Africa.
There’s midweek football to look forward to at the DC 💪

Little wonder, Usuthu have won three home games on the spin; the latest being a 2-1 victory over Stellenbosch FC last Wednesday.
Therefore, Zwane has urged his players to maintain that home momentum at the well- know 2010 World Cup venue.
“It’s not only us; it is probably all the teams — we have to make it clear that when you come into our backyard, we have to make your life difficult,” the coach told the club’s website.
“That is the only way we can bring back people in this area to come support us. If we don’t win our home games, how can we expect to win away?
“If you see yourself building something, you don’t let any man beat you in your own house. You know the house better than anyone, you know all the corners,” Zwane added.
“It should be like that in life. In football, Princess Magogo is our house; we should not be beaten at home. And if we happen to lose, teams must leave here saying they had to work for it.”
AmaZulu’s next league match is against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday.
