Record Ghana Premier League holders Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo ahead of next season.

The Porcupine Warriors who will open their 2025/26 league season away to Berekum Chelsea barring any unforeseen change, roped in the service of the former Hafia of Guinea attacker to bolster their front line.

Kotoko lifted the MTN FA Cup last season – qualifying for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup and the signing of Donzo comes at the right time ahead of the continental campaign.

Through a statement on its social media handle, the club announced the acquisition of Morifing Donzo on a three-year contract.

“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit,” a club statement said.

Donzo, 27, has signed for Asante Kotoko from Hafia FC and brings with him experience at the highest level of African football, having featured in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

He previously played for FC Sequence in 2022 before joining Hafia where he spent three seasons. He will be playing alongside top attackers Kwame Poku and Albert Amoah at Kotoko next season.
