ASC Jaraaf appoint Souleymane Diallo as new head coach

Senegal champions ASC Jaraaf have named Souleymane Diallo as their new coach ahead of the CAF Champions League preliminary stages. Jaraaf parted ways with Malick Daf a month ago.

Diallo was in charge of the Senegal ‘A’ side for more than a year after replacing Pape Thiaw at the helm. Jaraaf waited for the conclusion of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) last month to confirm Diallo’s appointment following the tournament.

Diallo signed a two-year deal. He is tasked with retaining the Senegalese league title and progressing to the group stages of the CAF Champions League. Jaraaf will face Cameroonian champions Colombe Sportive in the preliminary rounds.

Jaraaf were stunned to see former coach Daf take charge of Teungueth after they lost the Senegal Cup final against Generation Foot. Diallo is regarded as one of the upcoming coaches in Senegalese football. He helped Senegal finish third during the 2024 CHAN in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
