“Atalanta’s offer was too good to reject” – Kamaldeen Sulemana

Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has said that, he could not reject Atalanta’s offer when the Serie A club came calling for his service.

Sulemana joined the Italian side from English club Southampton this summer on a long-term deal, which could rise to £18m. Speaking to the club’s media team, Sulemana, 22 revealed that, the Bergamo based club’s deal was too good to reject.

“I’m very excited to play in the Champions League. When Atalanta called, I had no doubts,” the 22-year-old said.

“I didn’t come here to replace anyone.I came to play with whoever is here. I can learn a lot from Ademola; he has a lot to teach me.”

“This is one of the best clubs in Italy in recent years, I couldn’t say no. It was an unmissable opportunity,” he added.

Atalanta, who secured Champions League qualification after a strong domestic campaign, have been one of Italy’s most consistent sides in recent seasons, earning praise for their attacking style of play and player development.

Sulemana, known for his blistering pace and flair on the wings, believes the move will help him elevate his career to the next level.
