Bibiani GoldStars forward, Samuel Attah Kumi, has talked about how the players are adapting to the philosophy of the new coach, Fritz Markus Schmid.
The Swiss trainer took charge of the reigning Ghana champions in a two-year deal, and he has succeeded in picking up four points from his first two games at the helm.
The Miners dug deep to beat Dreams FC 3-2 before posting a goalless draw at home to leaders Medeama SC in a delayed week 14 fixture.
Ahead of their week 17 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Legon Sports Stadium against Eleven Wonders on Sunday, Atta Kumi, who has played 13 games with seven goals to his credit, has talked about players’ approach.
“We are prepared for them for this game because our fans were disappointed with our performance last against Medeama SC, because we could not win, so we urge them to put that behind them and support us against Eleven Wonders. We shall come all out to get the needed three points for the fans,” Samuel Attah Kumi told GoldStars TV.
Samuel Attah says the playing body is gradually adapting to the tactics of the new head coach, Fritz Markus Schmid.
The Swiss trainer signed a two-year deal to take charge of the club and has picked up four points from his first two matches, beating Dreams FC 3-2 before being held to a goalless draw at home by Medeama in a delayed week 14 fixture last Wednesday.
“We are on, and some players are gradually adapting to the coach’s tactics, and all the players will soon be fine [with the coach’s philosophy].
GoldStars find themselves in third on the league table with 29 points from 16 games, the same as Aduana FC after collecting seven points from their last three games. They are two points behind leaders Medeama and one adrift of Asante Kotoko.
