Aubameyang and Kebbal shine in a thrilling draw between Marseille and Paris FC

In a thrilling Ligue 1 encounter, African stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ilan Kebbal were the standout performers as Marseille and Paris FC played out an exciting 2–2 draw.

Marseille took the lead in the 18th minute when Mason Greenwood converted a penalty, before extending their advantage early in the second half through Aubameyang, who scored in the 53rd minute.

Paris FC showed great resilience and mounted a late comeback. Jonathan Ikoné reduced the deficit in the 82nd minute, before Algerian midfielder Ilan Kebbal held his nerve to score the equalizer from the penalty spot in the 94th minute.

The result moves Marseille up to 39 points, coming third in the standings, a UEFA Champions League qualification spot, while Paris FC sit 13th with 21 points.

The goal was an important one for Aubameyang, marking his first strike since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, after failing to score in six matches following the tournament. Meanwhile, Kebbal continues his impressive form, scoring his second goal in his last three appearances. He also registered an assist in Paris FC’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France, his first match after AFCON 2025.
