Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continued to star as Al Qadsiah maintained their push for a top-3 position in the Saudi Pro League with Thursday's 3-1 victory over relegation fighters Al Wehda.

Tied at 1-1 late in the match, Aubameyang led Qadsiah's late surge to find two goals in the final ten minutes for an important victory. The Gabon national team star completed the victory with a simple tap-in from Cameron Puertas in stoppage time. Ten minutes earlier, the former Arsenal player assisted Puertas' sensational solo effort to put Qadsiah ahead in the 86th minute.

The victory was a bit of fortune for hosts Qadsiah who struggled to impose themselves on Al Wehda, who took the lead in the 29th minute. Odion Ighalo, likely set to leave the club at the end of the season, fired in a trademark finish for his 6th league goal of the season.

But in the end it was Qadsiah who found inspiration to earn all three points and move into the top-3 for the time being, two points ahead of Al-Nassr with one more match played. They will next face Al Orobah at home on Monday. Aubameyang now has 15 goals and 3 assists in 30 Saudi Pro League matches this season.

It does not get any easier for Ighalo and Wehda who are only two points clear of the relegation zone. They next host last season's champions Al-Hilal on Wednesday.
