Ligue 1: Ayew, Hassan star in Le Havre's win over Lens

Le Havre came from behind to humble RC Lens 4-3 as Andre Ayew and Ahmed Hassan put their names to the score sheet during Saturday's French Ligue 1 clash. The relegation battlers secured a vital win in emphatic fashion at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.


It was a tough start for the visitors as they went 2-0 down inside twenty minutes in the first half. Moroccan prodigy Neil El-Aynaoui and Ruben Aguilar gave the home side a comprehensive lead. Nevertheless Le Havre came back to the game thanks to goals from Senegalese Issa Soumare and Ayew.



Ghanaian legend Ayew scored his third goal of the campaign from an assist by Soumare after the Black Star set up the Senegalese forward's strike.


Striker Ahmed Hassan converted the vital spot kick from the spot inside the stoppage time to hand Le Havre a much needed win. Koka, as the Egyptian is nicknamed, scored his second goal of the season.



Le Havre remain in a relegation battle as they sit 16th with 20 points.
