Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi added to his impressive list of honors on Saturday, scoring the opening goal and assisting late on as Greek giants Olympiacos FC conquered the Greek Cup with a 2-0 final victory over OFI Crete.

The prolific striker opened the scoring inside ten minutes at Athens' Olympic Stadium. A clever set piece saw Brazilian fullback Rodinei play the ball across the edge of the penalty area to find the Moroccan who curled in a perfect finish to get the favorites off to a dream start.

Olympiacos were in control throughout the match, dominating possession and creating the majority of scoring opportunities. However, OFI Crete were able to keep the deficit at one goal until the final stages of the match.

AS OFI attempted to bring numbers forward, it opened up the opportunity for Olympiacos to put the match away and El Kaabi set up Roman Yaremchuk for a goal in stoppage time to confirm the trophy for Thrylos.

El Kaabi finishes his 2024-25 campaign with 27 goals and 8 assists in 44 matches across all competitions. With transfer interest growing in the 31-year-old poacher, the opportunity appears too good to pass up for another big money move while still in his prime but it will be interesting to see where El Kaabi ends up for next season.
