Moroccan striker Walid Azarou delivered a standout performance to lead Ajman Club to an emphatic 5-2 victory over Khor Fakkan Club on Saturday in Matchday 16 of the UAE Pro League.
The match was played at the Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium, where Ajman produced an attacking masterclass.
Azarou opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a superb finish from inside the penalty area.
Just five minutes later, the Moroccan forward struck again, heading home from a right-wing cross in the 29th minute to complete his brace and give Ajman more advantage.
Ajman continued their dominance as Lithierry added two goals in the 38th and 56th minutes, while Anas Mittache capped off the scoring for the visitors in the 79th minute.
Khor Fakkan managed to pull two goals back late in the game through Abdalla Alrefaey, who found the net in the 83rd and 88th minutes, but it proved to be merely consolation.
With this result, Ajman climb to seventh place in the league standings with 20 points, while Khor Fakkan fall to be eighth on 18 points.
