Greek Super League: Baba Rahman scores to send PAOK top of the table

Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman scored his second goal of the season as PAOK FC overpowered Kifisia FC 4-1 in matchday 23 of the Greek Super League on Wednesday.

The experienced left back scored the third goal for PAOK after Alexander Jeremejeff’s two penalties in both halves.

Kifisia pulled level through the effort of Konstanstinos Roukounakis in the hour mark in between Alexander Jeremejeff’s brace.

Baba Rahman has 52 caps and a goal for Ghana

Baba Rahman then met a floating ball from the right before sending a volley behind Kifisia keeper Moises Ramirez for PAOK’s third on the evening with two minutes to full time.

Giannis Konstatelias iced the cake for PAOK late in added time to lift PAOK to the top of the table with 53 points same as Olympiacos but on a positive goal advantage after 23 matches.

Baba Rahman has made an impressive outing for the Greek side since joining them permanently from English giants Chelsea in 2023 and he has registered two goals in 16 appearances this season.

The 31-year-old who has had several loan spells at Schalke 04, Reading, Reims, and Mallorca after previously playing for Dreams fc and Kotoko in Ghana, Greuther Furth and FC Augsburg in Germany. He has 52 caps for Ghana with a goal under his name.
