The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed Tanzania and Mozambique as Bafana Bafana's opponents for two upcoming international friendly matches set to be staged in South Africa next month.

These upcoming fixtures follow Bafana coach Hugo Broos' announcement of a 41-man preliminary squad last Thursday, May 22. At the time, SAFA announced that SA would play two matches in June, though the opponents were not revealed.

The Belgian mentor is expected to trim this larger squad to a final 23 players before the end of the week.

Notably, players from Mamelodi Sundowns were not included in the preliminary squad due to their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025.

Bafana Bafana will first face Tanzania at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday, June 6, 2025, with kick-off set for 19:30 CAT. Broos' troops are scheduled to report for camp in Johannesburg on Sunday, June 1, before travelling to Polokwane on the same day.

The second friendly match will be against neighbouring Mozambique, taking place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The kick-off time for this encounter is yet to be confirmed.
