Bakala tells Caps United players a goal not enough

Desperate to end a four-game winless run, Caps United coach Ian Bakala says his players need to score more goals to win Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) matches.

The Zambian, yet to win in two games since being appointed, said this ahead of Sunday’s match against Simba Bhora FC.

“It is very important for us to win. We are mentoring the players on scoring more goals. We are only scoring one goal. To win games, we need to score more than one goal,” he said.

Bakala described the defending champions as tougher than last week’s meeting with Harare rivals FC Dynamos. The derby ended 1-1.

"This Sunday's game will be tough; perhaps even tougher than our Harare Derby against Dynamos FC. Therefore, we must forget the draw from the past weekend and focus on the coming game,” he added.

Going into the game, Simba Bhora occupy third place, four points behind leaders, MWOS, whereas Makepekepe are in the lower half of the table, five steps off the basement.
