Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has called on his players to win every game as they prepare to take on Dodoma Jiji in their Mainland Premier League fixture at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma on Wednesday.
The Msimbazi Reds will be looking for their second straight league win after defeating Tanzania Prisons 2-0 in their last assignment. The league fixture came after Simba failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the CAF Champions League.

Simba are aware that to return to the Champions League they will need to win their league matches. The South African coach has told his players on the importance of staying consistent with their results in the top-flight.
“We must be ready for this game, always the next game is important for us, so it is upon me to put up the best team to get the next result which is a win,” Barker told Pan-Africa Football.
“We want to continue growing as a team, we want to keep improving, we want to keep consistency, so, it is important that each and every game has different challenges.”
Barker added: “We are not expecting an easy match, we are anticipating a tough match, so, from my tactical point of view it is more about what we want to achieve as a team, and playing with our identity, and creating an identity that someone needs to embed.
“We have laid some good foundations, but there is still a lot of work to be done, a lot of improvement to be done. So, it goes without saying each and every game, opposition do provide different challenges, so, we are very aware of the challenges we will face tomorrow (Wednesday), so, we will prepare for that.
“But more importantly is us as a team, what we want to achieve, to be able to achieve our objectives, and that is our main focus.”
Simba defender David Kameta said as players they have set goals they want to achieve, and so, they will enter the fixture like fighters to seek victory despite the difficulties in Dodoma City.
Simba are sitting fourth with 22 points from nine matches. They have secured seven wins, one draw, and one defeat.
